3/28/07 clinic

Today my goal was to get part way through this class 2 patient. I am so frustrated because every patient is a class 1b or a class 5 patient. I need class 2 and 3 patients and I can't find any. I don't know what to do and it makes me feel stressed about passing clinic. Then today I missed a bunch of spots of claculus and I thought he was clean. I feel like I am never going to get this. Instructor Vining said he would show me some tricks next week that will help a lot. He suggested that I start on the bottom instead of the top, that sounds like a good idea.

3/26/07 clinic

Today my goal was to get atleast part way through my patient. My patient had a lot of meds and it took a long time to do all the paper work for the meds and conditions. I have a lot of exzperience with meds now. I finished my patient which is good but I was late getting him out. It is getting better yeah.

3/21/07 clinic

Today my goal is to get through my second 1b exam patient. I did 4 bite wings using the digital x-rays. I really don't like the digital program here. The cord is really in the way and it is really hard to work with. I got through my patient though and I did ok on my exam. I am glad to have that done. The weirdest thing has been happening lately, almost every patint has started to fall asleep in my chair. I don't understand why they fall asleep but it makes it hard to clean their teeth. Today actually went well and I feel good about it.

3/19/07 clinic

Today my goal is to get through atleast part of my patient. I did get through part of my patient but instead of being a 2 they were only a class 1b. It was because of the calculus. I am starting to get stressed because I need 6 quads of a class 2 and 4 quads of a class 3 and I am having a hard time finding people who are those classes. This is not fun at all.

3/7/07 clinic

Today my goal was to get all the way through my 1A patient. I watched my time but ran into some problems with the schedule for the x-ray rooms. I wrote my name down but no one ever came and got me. I finished my patient and did my instrument sharpening PE and did a sealant on a patient. I felt like today went really well and I learned something new. Instructor Vining told me that children who are getting their permanant teeth can be grumpy, have sore gums and run a slight fever just like infants do when they are teething.
